Wow! That’s a pretty sweet report. Again, a really good, informative, straight to the point read. You rock man!

I read your riport twice. Although I’m not a newbie in affiliate marketing, there were many interesting infos in the riport and I’m sure I’m going to use some of the tips.

Mike,
You say all you have to do is join Clickbank, pick a product to market and then get traffic to click on your Clickbank link. And then you say, “That’s all there is to it”. But there’s the rub.
That is the most difficult part. The first two steps are easy. It is easy if you have a list of 40 or 50K. My list is only 3,000 now.
If money is no object, how do I get the traffic?
Thanks,
Kevin

CLICKBANK IS DEAD.
Just kidding. But it would have been a good name for a report don’t you think?
Great job as usual Michael. Very informative overview of CB.
Happy holidays!

Beginners got to read this report, at least, to realize that there is more to affilate advertising than one initially knows.

Great Report! It opened a whole new world to me. I will use your advice and make click bank work for me. The time is now for me to take action!

Michael,
Great report! I have been a clickBank member for quite awhile now, mostly because various programs I have joined ask for my ClickBank ID. However, I was never interested in persuing clickbank any further, but your report may have inspired me to investigate this program again. May I contact you if I have questions?
Thanks,
Chuck

Let me hear the “negative” of clickbank.
What are the drawbacks of clickbank or room for improvement?
Hey, we can build a better viral ebook portal for you.

OK Michael, now your starting to gain my respect and grab my total interest. I have to tell you when you came out with your first report I was a little let down. I was waiting for something to help me on my quest to getting the actual steps to selling my product or someone elses, something to use as a guide to follow and to reinforce my thougths and what I was already doing. Something to let me know I was on the right track and that could help me with the next step. Although it was a good report as a confidence booster it wasn’t what I was expecting, I am already confident and not afraid of work and I was going to FLOG you
) but then I thought, hmm maybe he’s going to follow this up with something useful. I’m glad I didn’t FLOG you ::))
This is more like what I was looking for and the added benefit of joining your affiliate program is great.
I would like to share something with the rest of the group, hope it’s ok
I have been a member of Clickbank trying to sell other peoples products for a while. I also had a set of plans I was selling to build a wood steamer on eBay. I have sold lots on eBay and I wanted to try it on Clickbank also, you know so I spread it out as not to put all my eggs in one basket. If you don’t mind I would like to share a little useful information on my recent experience with Clickbank, for anyone new to clickbank or heading over there to join. Some things that I missed out reading and have cost me some time and frustration. First off it cost me $49.95 to join as a Publisher, I was already signed up as an affiliate but in order to sell you must become a publisher. So I paid my money and I set out to make my Sales and Thank You page. (Another note, you can be an affiliate and a Publisher through 1 account, you don’t need to sign up for both seperatley as I ended up doing).
Clickbank requires you to make a Thank You page, where the product is downloaded from and of course your sales page, which is where you actually promote and sell your product from. Now once you join and you have your product and you make your sales and Thank You page you get Clickbank to check the pages over and make sure they are within their guidlines (read the Guidelines carefully for these pages) then they give you a set limit which is the maximum you can sell your products for on Clickbank, (you can get this raised if needed by applying for them to raise it). Once they check over your pages and set your limit your on your way. Start selling. But I also wanted to get my product into the Marketplace, which as you have explained Michael is a great place to get listed. In order to get in the Market Place you must first sell at least one of your product, and as they suggested, I lowered the price to $3.00 and bought it myself, then picked the categories for it to be listed in and they put my product in the Market place in the bottom sub-category of the ones I have chosen, because as Michael said, they move up in position the more you sell. What I didn’t realize is that you can only have one product in the Market Place for each account you have! my first mistake, I would have put another product I have in there had I known, I didn’t know this and I don’t remember reading this. So in order to get my other Products in the Market place I would have to open an account for each product and pay the fee again!! So that was my first screw up. I have other products with Clickbank with other sales and thank you pages so I can still market them through Clickbank and run an affiliate program but they are not in the Market Place. Now one of the other products I have with Clickbank are the Internet Marketing tools in the Package I put together. It has over 40 packages combined in one and that includes Mail list builders and Mail list building reports and Website templates. I spent quite a while putting it all together and building the page and uploading the 41 meg file to my website so clients could download it. Then I wanted to sell it for $39.95, hell of a deal. Clickbank, because of my first product, had set my limit to $25.00 so I had to ask for them to raise it. Now after you have done your first sales and thank you page and paid your fee and had it all approved and sales limit set, Clickbank tells you to go ahead and you can add up to 99 more products you can sell under that account within that dollar amount limit, so your on your own now that you have the gist of how things work, as long as you stay within the listing guidelines. But when I asked them to raise my limit they went in to check my sales and thank you page and the product I wanted to sell for $39.95. To my surprise they came back to me with a list of things I had to correct first.
1. You can not sell or mention anything to do with a mail list or mail list software or opt in lists. So I had to remove all the advertising for that and remove the product from the package.
2. You can not have an OPT in mail form on your pages, I put one on for clients to send me their email so I could send them a free report and inform them of updates. This is also not clear in their policy and is actually still not settled with them because it does state that I can ask the client for extra information on the Thank you page. So the way it looks now is you can’t ask them for their email address until after they have bought your product on the thank you page and they are still himming and hawing on that with me. Although a lot of other marketers have gotten away with it on their sales page, including you Michael
)
3. They state that I cannot offer to ship the client a CD if they find the file to big to download, yet their policy states I can offer a CD for certain products as long as it is supplemental to digital downloading. So it seems their staff are also confused by some of their policies
4. Your pages have to be fully compatable with Mozilla and Firefox. My pages were fine with Internet Explorer but there were problems when reading with Firefox and Mozilla. So I had to re-do the entire page.
And last and MOST IMPORTANT. When someone buy’s from your Thank you page, who’s to say they can’t forward the URL of that page to everyone they know, who can then go in and download the product without paying for it and going through Clickbank. In fact they can do that. In order to protect yourself from this you have to install a PERL or PHP script on your website server which passes along variables from the paying client so that only poeple who actually go through clickbank and have paid can get to that page. This will be a big issue to some people.
Now don’t take this all wrong. I am not being negative I am just hoping this will save some of you lot’s of headache and frustration in setting up your account with Clickbank. Learn from my screw up’s!! Before you go in head over heals to get your product listed READ the Policies very carefuly, ask support all the proper questions before you do all the work and if your concerned about the Last point, look over the scripts that Clickbank offers to make sure you can install them easily on your server or pages.
Once that’s done it’s just as Michael say’s A great place to make money and promote your product.
Oh and Michael, thanks again for your report. I can’t wait for the next one.

Hi Michael
As with everything it seems to come down to marketing, and getting people to view your website product.
You are doing a great job educating people and giving information like a lot of
the top mentors, i have your adsense videos which are very informative.
However i have spent a long time trying to make money using the internet
with no succses, what people need is someone to give people like me a step by step video tutorial of how to make money being an affiliate etc etc.
So take me by the hand Michael, show me the way, and i will be your ultimate apprentice, be Rich, and tell the world that Michael Chaney is the real deal and not someone claiming to be the latest internet millionaire
Because for all the people out there who claim to make a lot of money, im sure there are many more thousands like me who dont.
Regards Geoffrey Urch (and i do think you are a genuine person)

Hello Michael,
I loved your report, not only for the content which was so clear and a positive help, but because the text was easy to read (no eyestrain!) and the colour scheme a refreshing change. All in all I thought it was excellent, and it made me ashamed that I have had a Clickbank ID for so long and never used it. You have galvanised me inyto action!
December 5th, 2006 at 6:51 pm
With all due respect, had I paid for the report, I would have asked for a refund. Out of the 30 some pages, 2 or 3 contained some pertinent info. Based on the cover of the report, “How to Collect Colossal Cheques from Clicks”, I was expecting you to show us how you go about setting up your campaigns to sell a Clickbank product. Something like Step 1, find a high paying product, Step 2, set up an ad campaign or create a landing page etc.
On the other hand, for someone who has never heard about Clickbank and is brand new to Internet Marketing, the report would be helpful.
Don’t take me off your list Michael, I am anxiously waiting for your next report and I think your videos are great!!
Regards,
Fred

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your report. It answers questions that I had had about Clickbank. Although I have been trying to work the internet business for some time, prior to this season I was working fulltime and trying to grasp what information I could. It has been difficult to say the least. This article has helped me to unscramble my confusion as to what Clickbank is about. I’ve had an account with them yet had no idea what I was missing.
By the way I have read every single article of yours that has come to my website. Everytime I see your name on it I can hardly wait to read every bit of it. Thank You for all your hard work and efforts.
December 5th, 2006 at 6:53 pm
Mr. Cheney, i think the report is a bit incomplete.you do have to do key word research, and have to find out wich campaign works the best.and by the time you narrow it down you can end up with a fairly hefty ppc bill.and still might not make money
December 5th, 2006 at 7:23 pm
Michael,
Some reading your report might consider it to be strictly for beginners. But it “takes off” on page 10 with the presentation of “power tips”. And yes, you don’t explore these powerful suggestions in depth. But it certainly is a wonderful guideline, especially for anyone considering writing a best selling, in depth ebook on just those tips. I know I’d buy it. Wait a minute! Maybe I should write it! I certainly need to go through the process of learning it!
What you’ve done, Michael, is provide a wonderful reminder for all of us: whether it’s for our customers or our affiliates, the name of this increasingly competitive game is adding value. Anyone who successfully follows through on a New Year’s Resolution of “adding value for the customer” will find themselves in the “lucky” position where they just cannot seem to fail.
Thank you, Michael, for this opportunity to reply.
Best Wishes for the Holidays,
Patrick Donovan

Hi Michael,
Just want to clarify a point here…
You mentioned that we can sell the report but in your Legal Notices you also state that we can only send people to www.cheneysclickbankreport.com to download it. We can’t put this report on our server.
Now, how are we going to sell the report if we send people to your site for the download link and then they find out that the report is free??
Our customers will be very angry when they find out that we are selling the free report.
cheers,

Michael,
I think you’ve lost the plot.
RAISE THE BAR with this report!
Show me some new resources, some examples and more importantly PROOF on what works and what doesn’t.
The Internet is flooding with howto guides which are nothing more that few ideas with no proof that they work.
You could say I’m not motivated but if you shown me a screenshot like you did with adsense-videos I would be following EVERY WORD you have written.

First off Michael, you’ve hit the nail right on the head. I’ve found that I have a “psychological barrier” when it comes to anything to do with websites and, for that matter, internet marketing in general. Since I don’t have enough techno experience, I freeze at the thought of pushing the wrong button in the fear that I will destroy the system by making the wrong choice on the keyboard. For this reason, I have NO website and I shrink at the thought of monkeying with “auto” this and “zap” that and you’re there. What if I can’t FIX IT. The worst thing about everything is that I didn’t even realize what was happening until I read your report and you spelled it out in black and white. Thank you so much Michael.
I’ve also been a firm believer in the fact that a person should NEVER STOP LEARNING. I’m 54 and I find that with an open mind (not an empty one), you learn something new every day. Your report is proof of that. The day you stop learning is the day they put you in the ground or an apropriate hospital.
I enjoyed your report tremendously and I gained some valuable insight from it. I think I’m ready to go from Newbie to Raising The Bar. As your fellow Brits might say “Good on ya Michael”.
December 6th, 2006 at 4:38 am
Michel again so many guidelines, i shall now run off and change what I am about to launch using your tips.

Thanks Michael for this overview on clickbank earnings aspects.
As always you are clear and easy to follow. And I like your way of writing.
I have a clickbank check here for $287,76 USD received the ‘lazy way’ and for just trying this market out on the surface. So I had get a glimpse of the possibilities in this field if being more targeted and active. But as long as my freelance makes me more money than this I need a deeper and more elicited version to follow.
Looking forward to your next cb-report.
December 6th, 2006 at 10:28 am
Excellent report but you talk about being a master educator and recruiting and training affiliates that’s great but if you have no one to train or educate where do you start ? You kind of make it sound like everyone has a list to work with and all you have to do is train them. I wish that was the case.
I have a website with a lot of affiliate products and already set up with click bank and I have no idea how to market it.
Thank you.

Hello Michael
Thanks for continuing to give good solid advice to those both old and new to the internet.
I also want to thank John Hardy who left an earlier reply.
You see I am at the top of a very steep learning curve… like many of you who are reading these excellent tips on using the internet to make a living.
As you know Michael, I have been building my website which covers information on Home Staging and Interior Design…. so not an internet related topic… but one that many of the readers here might relate to.
As I have been developing the business model I have been moving closer and closer to offering a full course on-line using all the advantages of the internet and computer technology.
Now anyone who takes a look at the website http://www.property-coach.co.uk will see that it is a simple site that give advice and sells services and products.
Where is all this leading to you might wonder.
Well simply that many of you reading this, building similar businesses will understand the need for CLEAR, FOCUSSED, RELEVANT advice.
But not only advice…. RECOMMENDATIONS!
You see as I have been added to more and more lists I have been inundated with emails and calls to read the latest article that will ‘Blow My Mind’ or promises to bring ‘Shed loads of cash to my bank account’
Now I don’t want to sensor the internet, but I am getting a little tired of the rather childish and basic selling techniques that seem to be rife on the internet today.
Of course you might say…. ‘But you don’t have to buy!’
That’s true, and very often I am put off from these boastful … Earn a million in just 1 days work…. sit on a yacht and watch the cash roll in… Because the other side of the story, that these advertisers, who use these lines forget is
The same advertisers seem also to be telling us ‘I have been slaving over this for months’
I haven’t slept for 3 nights because I wanted to RUSH THIS TO YOU’ etc etc
They seem to think that we instantly forget what they said in their last sales pitch/ automated email!… Well maybe they did but many readers didn’t!
No the thing that I have became rather unhappy about is the fact that recently there have been a number of recommendations from people that I have, up until then at least, respected.
The recommendations have been for ‘Other internet GURUS’ who have a product out…
The problem is that when purchased the product has been very poor and very badly written.
Well I am not mentioning names… but those recommendors out there know who they recommend and those recommendees know it too.
I hope that some of the top guys in this current sector do read my little addition because I think that many need to ‘check’ themselves and realise that they are only as good as their last recommendation.
To finish on a positive note, I do still read about new ideas on the net and Michael is still coming up with interesting ideas and good advice.
So thanks Michael and thanks for letting me just stir the pond a bit.
I would welcome anyone, who wants, to email me if they want chat further.
Also thanks John for your interesting story of experience with clickbank…who I hope to place a product with soon
Regards all

I love free reports and what they can do, and show you. Your report needs fleshing out with more detail with such things as:
* Keyword Research
* Clickbank Affiliate Research - find out what else each affiliate is selling, and copy their methods
* How to create your own product and market that on Clickbank
If you dont do your research properly and enter the wrong market place, then you can quickly burn a lot of cash. Its true that if you have a list which is large enough you can sell to them, especially if its a responsive list of eager buyers. Free ad resources arent half as succesful as they used to be, so you cant wholly rely on them to get good traffic.
You will have to do your maths very carefully and keep and eye on your affiliate campaigns to make sure that you arent spending too much on Adwords. Keep the payment as low as possible, and find as many relavent keywords for that niche that you are entering. When first starting a campaign, use a few different ads - borrowed from your competitors and see if they work for you!, have a daily limit of just a few dollars to see if you have a response - if you dont scrap the campaign, tweak it and move on, but DONT spend too much money on advertising.

Hi Michael,
Totally agree with you “Never Stop Learning”. Now I know why I don’t make any money at Click Bank. Going to apply some of the strategy.
However I have one question, do you mean I need to personally use a product before promoting to others people. Then, I am going to purchase a lot of Internet Product. How do I know which product is making money and will help me?
Thanks. Appreciate you can provide some information on my questions.

Hi Michael
Many thanks for your report on Click bank. Having read a number of postings regarding your report I feel a number of the readers may have missed the point. The report is there to provide a summary of the potential benefits that Click Bank can provide, it would be impossible within a small report to provide a A-Z of how this actually works.
If some one wants to focus on the affiliate marketing side of the report and wants to look at how to promote the product. In the absense of a list in your own right, you could focus on a number of avenues.
Firstly Adwords, yes you need to do some keyword research here. within any campaign you can set up a number of ad groups, all with lists of keywords. Your ad should be wrote around what you consider to be the dominant keyword. When writing your ad ensure that the dominant Keyword is contained within both the headline and body of the ad itself. Michael is right about having a seperate landing page, google only allows for one ad directly linking to the sales page to be displayed at any one time. Hence developing a review landing page accomplishes two things, 1) you have your own URL and 2) you can set up your own opt in form to get lets say a free report and then direct them to the sales page. This way you have a chance of a sale and have started to build your own list.
What about writing an article, a review of the product. You could still direct this to a landing page and achieve the same potential benefits as the points above. Remember that this is a free method of directing traffic to your site.
Just coming back to adwords for a moment, set your expectations low, ensure a low daily budget. By doing this it should offer some protection from getting burnt. For those who are competing in the same area, take a look at what they are doing. Don’t try and reinvent the wheel, learn from them!
Thanks again for your informative report. I hope that in some way I have offered some useful comments towards your discussion
Kind Regards
Chris

Well I Have decided I am going to start off and maybe stick with Google Adwords. All this squeeze page, opt in list, article wiriting, multiple websites, back linking, etc. etc. etc. is making my head spin. I will concentrate on Adwords and do the rest on the side as I have time. Less Panic and stress, unless of course I don’t do well with Adwords
So I just wanted to let you know I will have my blog pretty much dedicated to articles on Adword and my learning expeirences as I go along. So if your interested in following it or checking in now and then http://virtutech.blogspot.com

Hope this isn’t too dumb of a question. Say you run some PPC ads.
I set up a page that describes the product. Yes, I want to direct people there, but is that what is displayed in the ad or can it be something else.
Thanks in advance.

Good report, Michael.
I’m interested in how, as a British resident, you were able to signup on Clickbank, as they require a Social Security number or Tax ID. I live in Australia and have neither.
Cheers,
Peter

Hi Michael,
I have just read your Clickbank Report and it was a great
report.I found it easy to ready and it is clear that you
had spent a far amount of time preparing it.
I am going to revisit it again and I might have a question
or two.
Thanks again,

Micheal, I enjoyed your report but I have read the same thing from many others. What you all seem to miss is that Many of us Newbies don’t have products to launch, so we are doing the trial and error system by way of PPC. Many of us don’t know how or what type of website to build since we don’t have products. I personally don’t know how to create links that you speak of. I know that there are website designers out there but that gets expensive and who knows which one to select because I guess multiple websites are required. Also, how do you get around Google’s system that you URL must go to the products landing page? Man I have more questions than I have air and one question leads to another and another. I am smart enough to realize that it only takes one time for me to “get it” then it will all fall into place. But all to often these “step by step” programs lead you in a different direction and you wind up getting lost. I guess I could go futher but this is enough for you to understand that there are many of us who are absolutely committed to making this work but it seems to get more confusing with every report we read. Perhaps soon I will get the system arranged in an orderly fashin in my mind and it will all fall into place. Thanks for all you do. Chris

Your report is interesting, however, it is difficult when you begin to know exactly what to do. Nonetheless, perserverance is the key.
Thanks.

Michael, I have just joined click bank and am an optimistic person, but I must say I am so confused now after reading your report. Each time I sign up to something, even to start just making a couple of hundred dollars a day, something else pops up to confuse me. My head is spinning. I know I can do this, but am just so confused as to exactly what I need and what I need to do. I am in a few different programs, but am feeling very stuck. HELP.
Yours with gratitude
Nik

Mike,
You opened my mind to all the possibilities that are available to me on the internet, and to ANYONE who wants to be successful, but it’s up to us to grab the share of those opportunities. Success is never handed to us on a plate - it does require work. Video, audio, Ebooks, article content, websites, blogs - everything can be created so easily nowadays if you know how. GREAT JOB. Thanks,
Best regards,
Waldek

Well, Mr. Cheney, your report is filled with valuable information. For all of those who are novices to intermediate with all of these “Make Passive Income” opportunities, they must take note. First, create a flow chart or outline if you will on what you want to accomplish. Secondly, implement the strategies you have listed step by step. A key point here is “Test, Test, Test!!!” Don’t just jump in the ocean and not know how to swim and expect to get to the other shore. Thirdly, create relations with people who are successful and who have done the work for you. They have spent many hours, days, years on “fine tuning” there respected areas for which they are consider “Experts.”

Thank you Michael for a good report. I just spend some time reading
all the posts made before mine and found that most of them were
positive with a cross section of suggestions about keywords and dealings
with Clickbank.
I think your report is a combination of basic useful nformation for would-be affiliates and good advice for successful affiliate management.
I’m sure you could write a hundred page manual about all you have learned but with this excellent report you are making the case for taking action and to continue learning, always.
I really respect all you have accomplished so far Michael and I hope I
can make some money with your programs.

Hello Micheal,
It’s real nice to be able to have a good quality review of clickbank.
The point is that there are many lazy marketers out there promoting
clickbank products just by sending them to the sales page.
It goes back to the very basics of list building, traffic generation
strategies and also the foundation of being a good student of marketing
techniques such as being good in webconversion.
I’m currently trying my hand in articles. Adwords are great however
It’s the same with doing your homework in keyword research and
then make a bidding study of which keywords list is most profitable.

Vern

Michael,
Thanks so much for the report. I have followed your information for sometime now and have always found you to go above and beyond in sharing your information.
Those of us new to the Internet Marketing arena appreciate that willingness to share.
Although familiar with Clickbank, I learned a few extra tricks that I have not implemented before. Perhaps when I do I shall some real dollars in my account instead of wish dollars.
Thanks again. Please don’t stop with your sharing.

Hi Michael,
In fairness I signed up for your program less than an hour ago so I don’t have a whole lot of informed input here. I did find the report interesting, though.

Dear Michael,
There are some very facinating tips in your ClickBank Report. If this concers anyone, I am at a very young age so it would be really fortunate for any money making. I’m not very familiar with ClickBank so your report
definitely helped me. I will be honest, I was hoping for more of a walk-through in the report. Maybe if you had any spare time you could make a video about what the report was saying that doesn’t cost any money. But any help was certainly realized!
Your friend, Mathew.

Thanks for report Mike.
It was not only motivational report to make readers to take action, but also had good information about improving affiliate’s preselling to customers.
Mike mentions about capturing the leads thus keeping with them in touch for future backend marketing.
There is definitely good information for product makers, because it shows you how to make your affiliates succeed by giving them more tools to outstand other product maker’s affiliate army.
